Pan Fried Pork Chops

A nice little tip: after frying the pork chops, add more oil and fry veggies in the same pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1⁄2 tsp paprika

  • 1⁄2 tsp salt

  • 1⁄2 tsp black pepper

  • 1⁄4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1⁄2-1 cup flour

  • 4 bone-in-rib pork chops or 4center-cut pork chops (chops between 3/4” and 1” thick are best)

  • 1⁄4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the spices in a bowl.

  2. Put the flour on a plate.

  3. Pat the chops dry with paper towels.

  4. Cut 2 slits ~2” apart through the fat on the edges of each chop.

  5. Season both sides of the chops with the spice mixture.

  6. Dip the chops in the flour, coating each side well.

  7. Put on a plate and let sit for ~10 mins.

  8. Add the oil and chops to a frying pan - fry over med-high heat, turning often until well browned.
