Vegetarian Spaghetti Sauce

Super fast and easy to make. Probably better recipes out there, but this is decent and easy.

Ingredients

  • 500g Spaghetti

  • 1 Onion - chopped

  • 2 Stalks Celery - chopped

  • 4 Mushrooms - chopped

  • 1 Jar Spaghetti Sause (500ml)

  • 1 Can Chickpeas - rinsed/drained

  • 1 Can diced tomatoes - undrained

  • 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tsp Sugar

  • 1/2 Tsp Salt

  • 1/2 Tsp Oregano

  • 1 Bay Leaf

Instructions

  1. Cook Spaghetti.

  2. Meanwhile, saute onion, celery, and garlic powder in oil until tender.

  3. Add spaghetti sauce, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, sugar, salt, oregano and bay leaf.

  4. Bring sauce to a boil, cover & simmer for 10 mins. Discard the bay leaf.

  5. Top spaghetti with sauce and parmesan cheese if desired.
